Russian dative case of nouns


 The Dative case (Дательный падеж) is usually used for Indirect object of a noun (in other words - a reciever of the action) and into En
glish it can be translated with the use of the preposition to and for. 



There are certain verbs after which we use the Dative case (the verbs are in present tense)









Besides we use the Dative case after certain prepositions:



Also in impersonal constructions (where there is no subject and no need of verbs) we use the Dative case. The impersonal constructions describe emotional and physical states like here in examples:
 
1. Gleb is cold
2. Pacha is hot
3. Friends are bored.
