The irregular plural of nouns in Russian language

Hi my dear friends, How are you doing? How is it the weather in your country?! Here in Russia it's quite cold and rainy. It seems no more sun for this year :(
Well today my dear friends we are going to learn more about the plural form of nouns in Russian language : the irregular part (don't be such afraid  of the word irregular) I beleive you are so smart to understand this class.
But before to start dear students, be sure that you already have watched the regular part whic you can find in our YouTube channel. And in case you like our classes don't forget to subscribe and follow us so to be informed every time we publish a video class.

The irregular plural of nouns in Russian language:

We have devided this part into :

  1. Plural form of masculine gender nouns  (Существительные мужского рода
  2. Plural form of neuter and feminine gender noun (Существительные женского и среднего родов)

First let's see the plural form of masculine gender nouns :

As you already know (or not -if so watch the video about the plural nouns which you find here) that the masculine noun in Russian it ends in general with a consonant, in this case we form the plural by just adding а, я or ья - FOR EXAMPLE:

Адрес becomes in plural АдресА

Учитель becomes in plural  УчителЯ; notice that in general we add the "Я" for the softened consanants.

Брат becomes in plural БратЬЯ ...

Another useful tric for you  to form the plural form of masculine gender  noun is to take in consideration the ending letters of words:

Usually the words which endings is  анин/янин we just replace the final "ИН" with an "НЕ"

example:

Англичанин it becomes in plural Англичане

Гражданин it becomes in plural Граждане

 Easy peasy RIGHT ??

Well to sum up all this mess  here is a table that hopefully you will understand :

Endings (masculine noun)

Ex. Masculine Noun

Ø → а or я

Доктор

Доктора

Ø → ья
